At Lane & Co., we believe that learning to drive is more than just a milestone — it’s a powerful step toward independence, employment, and community connection. Founded with a clear purpose, we’re not just another driving school — we exist to bridge the gap for people who face barriers in accessing traditional driver education.
We specialise in supporting learners from diverse and often disadvantaged backgrounds, including job seekers, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, individuals exiting rehabilitation, and others navigating complex life challenges. Our mission is to empower these individuals with the practical driving skills — and the personalised support — they need to safely and confidently step back into their lives, their jobs, and their communities.
We understand that for many, learning to drive can be stressful. For some, it can be deeply overwhelming — especially when layered with mental health challenges, trauma, unemployment, cultural considerations, or lack of family support. That’s where Lane & Co. steps in.
• Our instructors are trained not only in road safety, but in community-focused engagement, trauma-informed practice, and inclusive communication.
• We design programs that align with employment services, rehabilitation frameworks, and culturally appropriate learning models.
• We offer flexible, mobile, and respectful lesson delivery across South East Queensland — from Rockhampton to the Gold Coast.
• We work in partnership with providers to deliver lessons that are eligible for government-funded training packages and job seeker support.
We meet learners where they are — with patience, respect, and a commitment to walking alongside them toward independence.
